Purchasing new equipment, food, or repairing your tools goes beyond simply paying a fee. Prices vary across Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, so it’s essential to negotiate to secure the best deals.
Every time you engage with a merchant, whether you’re buying or selling, you should haggle. If you’re paying the full price, you’re not doing it right. However, the haggling mechanics in Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 can be tricky, and mastering how to negotiate the best prices takes practice.
Understanding Haggling
When you choose an item to buy or sell, press Square on PlayStation or X on Xbox to start haggling. You will see a vertical price bar showing the highest and lowest price options. Then, determine how much you are willing to pay or receive for the item and make your offer.
You can also select multiple items at once and negotiate the price for them together, which can save you time.
The merchant will either turn you down angrily, accept your offer, or present you with a counteroffer. At this point, you can either suggest a new amount or agree to their counteroffer.
Keep an eye on the patience meter located above and below the price bar. If this meter fills up, the merchant will stop negotiating with you, leading to a loss of reputation. If your proposed prices are too unreasonable, the patience meter will fill up much faster.
How to Secure the Best Prices

There’s a key strategy to follow for successful haggling. When selling, start with an offer that is somewhere in the middle between the market price and the highest price you’ve encountered. If you’re buying, aim for close to the lowest price.
The merchant will usually respond with a counteroffer closer to the market price, and then you should make another counteroffer roughly halfway between your initial offer and theirs.
Your prices may vary based on your appearance, cleanliness, reputation with the merchant, and their location.
With this approach, the merchant is likely to accept your proposal, leading to a successful transaction. We’ve found this tactic effective every time we’ve haggled for an item.
