Gestral Games in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33
The Gestral Games offer a refreshing break from the intense battles and narrative in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. You’ll find five unique games scattered across Gestral Beaches on the continent. Although these challenges are low-stakes, they each present distinct hurdles that you won’t encounter elsewhere in the game. By successfully completing all the challenges, you’ll earn the "Gestral Games" trophy and unlock stylish swimsuits for your party members—perfect for relaxing at the beach.
As you delve into the intricately designed world of Clair Obscur, keep an eye out for the optional areas known as Gestral Beaches, where you can engage in mini-games like beach volleyball and climbing challenges. These activities aren’t overly difficult but require some skill. The Gestral Games consist of volleyball, a parkour course, an ascension tower, a foot race, and a climbing wall. To access most of these locations, you’ll need to utilize Esquie’s abilities, including flight; however, the first Gestral Beach is accessible early in Act 1.

Five Distinct Gestral Beaches
The first Gestral Beach can be found early in Act 1, located on the northwest side of the starting area. This initial beach introduces you to the Gestral Games and their associated mini-games. Once you progress to Act 2, you’ll discover the second beach, where you can swim to a secluded area to play volleyball. Each Gestral Game rewards you with different swimsuits for your characters.

How to Complete All the Gestral Games in Clair Obscur
How to Complete the Parkour Course
The parkour course at the first beach may be tricky, especially for newcomers. Once you enter the beach, speak with the Gestral to learn the objectives. You’ll need to balance on a wooden log extending into the ocean before jumping across rotating platforms. Completing this course requires patience; take your time, and you should overcome the obstacles. At the end, speak to a small Gestral to receive Lune’s Swimsuit.
How to Win the Raft Volleyball Tournament
The second game, Raft Volleyball, comes with three difficulty levels. Your goal here is to hit the little Gestrals back at the Sakapatate launching them. Timing is crucial; wait a split second longer than you think to successfully return the Gestrals. Hitting flaming Gestrals nets you two points, so prioritize those if you’re aiming for higher scores. Completing the game on normal difficulty earns you Lune’s Swimsuit II, while tackling the hardest level rewards you with Sciel’s Swimsuit II.
How to Ascend the Tower
Reaching the top of the ascension tower is essential for your reward. Although it may appear straightforward, falling is easy, so pay close attention to your jumps and grabs. You might find it helpful to try and catch a ledge if you happen to fall, or you’ll have to restart from the bottom.
How to Reach the Top of the Climbing Wall
In the Climbing Wall game, you’ll need to dodge fiery orbs as you use handholds to make your way to the top. It’s best to move slowly—watch for gaps in the orb activity. If you rush, you may get hit. Completing this challenge will award you with Maelle’s Swimsuit.
How to Win the Race
The final Gestral Game involves a foot race that includes climbing obstacles as well. There are rankings based on your completion time: Bronze, Silver, and Gold. As you climb, you’ll need to time your jumps perfectly. Here are the required times for each rank:
- Bronze: 45 seconds
- Silver: 41 seconds
- Gold: 38 seconds
Finishing in Gold will earn you the Verso II swimsuit and grant you the "Gestral Games" trophy, along with various upgrades. While the Gestral Games may not be exceedingly complicated, they provide enjoyable and lighter moments amid the more intense combat and storylines in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33.
