In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, whether you’re riding Pebbles or another horse, your priority is to keep your steed fast and comfortable. Once you have a horse, the next step is to get a saddle that fits.
Acquiring a saddle is pretty straightforward, but placing it on your horse can be a bit tricky. After you’ve obtained a saddle, there are a few steps to help you equip it. You can dress Pebbles with the saddle and some additional gear, which will allow you to carry extra items.
How to Get a Saddle
First, you need to visit a horse handler or a saddler to purchase a saddle. In the Trosky area, you have two options.
The first is Horse Handler Mikolai, located in the Nomad camp to the west of the region. Alternatively, if you’re on the other side of the map, you can find Saddler Matthew at Trosky Castle.
Both of them offer saddles for sale, but make sure you have enough Groschen on hand, as they can be pricey. High-quality saddles often start at around 500 Groschen.
Saddlers are marked with a small white horse head icon on the map.
How to Put a Saddle on a Horse
Now that you have your saddle, follow these steps to equip it on your horse:
- Open your inventory and locate the saddle.
- Select it by clicking or pressing the appropriate button (square on PlayStation or X on Xbox) to transfer it to your horse.
- Next, navigate to the horse section at the top of the screen.
- Find the saddle in your horse’s inventory and select it to equip it. Once it’s equipped, you’ll see a gray shield symbol next to it.
Your saddle should now be properly equipped on your horse, ready for Henry to ride more comfortably as he explores the world of Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2.
