Discovering the creatures in Grounded 2 is both exciting and risky, as strange bugs frequently cross your path. Some bugs, like the elegant snail, are harmless, while others may attack if you get too close. It’s crucial to recognize which bugs to avoid and which ones to fight, as well as what resources each creature can provide.
When searching for specific bug parts, it’s helpful to have an idea of how to handle the creature you’re after. Being prepared and cautious can keep you safe. Check the following information before heading out on your next bug hunt.
All Creatures and How to Deal with Them
If you’ve played the first Grounded game, many of these bugs will look familiar. However, some are new to this world, including robotic O.R.C. versions.
Each creature belongs to one of four categories: Harmless, Neutral, Angry, and O.R.C. These classifications help determine how to approach them. When you defeat bugs with weapons, they drop materials essential for crafting and building. You can also analyze them with your PEEP.R device to learn about their strengths and weaknesses. O.R.C. variants are similar to their normal counterparts but can also drop an O.R.C. Receiver.
How to Use the PEEP.R
The PEEP.R is a device similar to binoculars that allows you to observe creatures from afar and analyze those nearby. To use it, press the designated button to raise the device, then press “Peep” to scan and gather a Creature Card. This card provides critical information about the insect, including its resistances, weaknesses, and weak spots.
On PC, open the PEEP.R by pressing “X” and then analyze the creature with “E.” On PlayStation, use the Triangle button to open, and press R1 to analyze. On Xbox, Y opens the device, and RB analyzes the bug.
You can also access the Creature Cards from your menu by selecting the Date wheel, where you’ll find details about bug vulnerabilities and body weak points.
All Grounded 2 Creature Stats and Locations
Many creatures are found in specific areas, and understanding their locations can help you plan your encounters. For example, you might find ladybugs across the park near aphids or in grassy areas, while ants are commonly found near anthills and the snackbar front.
Neutral Creatures
Neutral creatures won’t attack unless provoked. They will defend themselves and their young if attacked. Harmless bugs pose no threat and are easy to kill. Angry creatures attack immediately and may chase you for a while. O.R.C. creatures are akin to regular bugs but tend to drop extra loot.
