The Pavlova Cookie has been introduced in Cookie Run: Kingdom as a companion to the new character, Eternal Sugar Cookie. Inspired by Cupid, this adorable character adds a unique flair—if a bit strange—to your CRK team. Players can find him in Episode 9 of Beast-Yeast, alongside Eternal Sugar.
He excels at delivering swift ranged attacks from the backline of your team. His abilities share some similarities with Eternal Sugar’s but are much easier to acquire and upgrade since he is classified as an epic rarity and is currently accessible through his own gacha. So, how can you best utilize Pavlova Cookie’s abilities?
Best Toppings for Pavlova Cookie
Indolent Raspberries Are Definitely the Top Choice
When Pavlova Cookie activates his skill, he launches an arrow into the sky, causing a barrage of arrows to rain down on his foes. This applies the “Red Thread” debuff, which reduces their defense and increases their vulnerability to elemental damage. The more enemy cookies hit by this debuff, the greater the damage they will take. Additionally, this ability enhances the critical hit probability and damage of his teammates. When a target accumulates the maximum stacks of Red Thread, they become charmed, rendering them immobile and unable to use any skills or attacks.
Unlike other beast cookie minions like Black Sapphire Cookie and Nutmeg Tiger Cookie, Pavlova Cookie does not provide additional buffs in combat with Eternal Sugar Cookie. However, their abilities complement each other well.
The optimal toppings for Pavlova Cookie are raspberries. While you want him to charm enemies as much as possible, effectively incapacitating them during most of the fight, his base cooldown is just six seconds. You can reduce this to five seconds with a full set of chocolate toppings, but that doesn’t justify sacrificing the extra damage you could gain from using a full set of raspberries.
Epic searing raspberries will work if you don’t have any indolent toppings available, but aim for some indolent raspberries for that extra edge. Currently, there aren’t any resonant topping tarts available, so equipping an epic Searing Raspberry tart is ideal. Since he’s slightly fragile, adding some damage resistance would be beneficial. Key substats to look out for include attack, attack speed, critical hit chance, and critical hit damage.
Best Beascuits for Pavlova Cookie
A Light Beascuit Focused on Offensive Skills
As a ranged cookie akin to Wind Archer Cookie, the best choice for Pavlova Cookie’s beascuit is a legendary light beascuit. Since his attacks don’t deal specific elemental damage, a standard legendary beascuit suffices. You don’t need to focus on cooldown stats for his beascuit, but if you really want him to perform slightly faster, you could allocate one stat toward reducing cooldown.
The most effective beascuit stats for Pavlova Cookie are attack, attack speed, and damage resistance bypass. Surprisingly, he is quite handy for an epic cookie. He’s particularly useful in Eternal Sugar’s beast-yeast episodes, where he is unaffected by the regional debuff and instead receives a boost. While he may not measure up to the likes of Fire Spirit Cookie or Shadow Milk Cookie, Pavlova Cookie is a solid damage dealer for early-game players, making him worth investing in if you’re facing challenges in the Beast-Yeast stages of Cookie Run: Kingdom.
