This marks the climactic end of your journey in Fantasian Neo Dimension, where your fate—and that of the multiverse—hangs in the balance. Jas intends to reduce everything to nothingness, a vast emptiness akin to Yim’s realm. This fate must be averted.
With divine powers at his disposal, Jas presents a formidable challenge. He has multiple phases, never allowing the chance for a breather in between. Prepare yourself, as defeating him is arguably one of the toughest battles in the game.
How to Defeat Jas’ First Phase
Jas’s encounter features three stages, with the first two fought consecutively. Our strategy for these initial fights will primarily involve a trio: Leo, Cheryl, and Ez. Valrika will come into play during the second phase. It’s advisable to be around level 60 and have most of the Growth Map unlocked when facing Jas.
Key skills to focus on include:
- Leo: Samidare Hits +, Fire and Lightning Samidare, Counter, Blade Break, Concentrate.
- Cheryl: Double Charge, Concentrate, Blizzard Strike, Darkness Strike, Counter, Support Charge.
- Ez: Quick All, All Potion L, All Potion +, Attack Turns Up, Defense Turns Up.
During the first phase, Jas relies on a consistent attack pattern while attempting to exploit elemental weaknesses in your team. Equip Blue Quartz for all three characters to guard against this. He will also inflict random status ailments, but here are ways to counteract that:
- Leo: Equip the Holy Belt (earned from the Cinderella Tri-Stars quest).
- Cheryl: Equip the Crystal Quartz (found in the God Chest in Bernard’s Lab).
- Ez: Equip his weapon, Carnwennan.
With these preparations, the main attacks you’ll be vulnerable to are attack and defense debuffs, which Ez can easily remedy. Equip Ruby XL on Cheryl, Large Jade on Ez, and Ruby XL, Emerald L, or Opal XL on Leo. Leo should also have his weapon, Tyrfing, fully upgraded to Ragnarok using Deus Augite from the God Realm.
Tip: This is a crucial fight, so don’t hesitate to use Elixirs to heal your team whenever necessary.
Battling Jas
In the first phase, Jas’s moves are limited. He mainly summons elemental orbs that can attack your team on his next turn if not destroyed. Initially, these orbs will consist of a specific element, so dispatch them quickly with your most powerful elemental attacks. He’ll also try to cast elemental weakening and random status effects, but your precautions should mitigate this.
As you approach the end of the battle, Jas will start summoning more elemental orbs. Save your Tension skill for this moment.
Fortunately, Jas is susceptible to Attack and Defense Down, so maintain these debuffs consistently, prioritizing Attack Down. As his HP decreases, he’ll buff himself with Attack, Defense, and Speed. You can neutralize these one by one using Leo or have Valrika use Dispel.
The most effective way to inflict damage during this phase is through Cheryl. Aim to cast Concentrate, Double Charge, and then unleash Blizzard Strike when he’s weakened by Helm Bash. The damage can potentially halve his HP in a single hit.
Tip: When Cheryl uses Concentrate, Support Charge may activate, potentially saving you a turn.
After the first phase, you’ll gain a significant amount of XP and transition immediately into the more difficult second phase. Note that your HP and MP carry over, so be prepared to heal if necessary.
How to Defeat Jas’ Second Phase
As the challenge escalates, Jas rises and starts to employ far more aggressive attacks against your party. Although he still adheres to a recognizable attack pattern, this time, you can expect a wider array of moves.
He will no longer merely summon orbs; instead, he’ll strike your team with three attacks in a single turn. The sequence usually involves two elemental attacks that target random teammates (never twice the same) followed by Godly Pulse, which debuffs one of your characters while buffing himself. The Blue Quartz and your other defenses remain vital in this phase.
Jas will also summon two orbs on each side of him. While these orbs are active, he cannot be damaged, so you’ll need to focus all attacks on them. If you manage to destroy them, Jas will lose his turn, offering you a chance to inflict some damage and apply debuffs on him.
Note: Avoid using area-of-effect moves like Arrow Rain or Knight Impact while Jas is in range, as he’ll nullify them entirely.
If you fail to destroy the orbs, he will unleash Magna Ray, a powerful attack that targets the entire party. This can lead to serious damage, potentially wiping out your entire team, so ensuring at least one orb is destroyed is critical. Cheryl can easily dispatch one with a single Charge and Blizzard Strike.
After using Magna Ray, Jas will employ Godly Heal, a move that replenishes around 10,000 HP, which isn’t too troubling at this point.
His final move in this phase is Deluge of Blades, reminiscent of Vam’s attack but with many more swords. It can be hard to obliterate all the blades without a Tension Skill, but remember that their power weakens with each one destroyed.
Tip: If you think you can’t destroy all the blades, take out as many as possible and boost your defense, heal, and start guarding.
Jas will keep deploying this pattern, enhancing himself with buffs along the way, but it’s manageable if you maintain your composure.
How to Defeat Jas the Absolute
Now, as you face Jas the Absolute in the final phase, he appears more powerful than ever. While he can act twice in a single turn, he’ll only be using elemental attacks, often displaying a special move every other turn.
To prepare your team, we initially had Zinikr for his buffs from Ez. Start the battle with him casting Iron Wall, and on the next turn, have him invoke Concentrate before swapping him for Cheryl, who will keep those bonuses.
As before, Jas continues to be vulnerable to Attack and Defense Down, so you’ll want Leo to inflict those while Cheryl follows her usual pattern of Concentrate, Double Charge, and Blizzard Strike through the entire fight.
Tip: Ensure Ez maintains Quick All active to maximize your chances for turns throughout the battle.
The first significant attack to watch out for is Big Bang. Jas will charge this attack, and it cannot be interrupted. Use this time to debuff him, land some hits, and switch in your defensive team: Leo, Zinikr, and Kina. If someone falls, Kina can use Resurrection on her next turn.
Next, look out for Black Hole and White Hole. The Black Hole will absorb team members until only one is left during each turn it’s active, returning them after destruction. Conversely, the White Hole calls in additional enemies during its active turns. They are weak to Holy and Darkness, respectively, so use Cheryl and Zinikr for destruction.
Note: Both holes will have no effects on their first turn, giving you a chance to eliminate them before they can act.
As Jas reaches low HP, he will summon both holes in the same turn, which can be intimidating, but with Cheryl and Zinikr, you can manage it.
Then comes Supernova, one of his strongest moves. He’ll buff himself and generate a multitude of elemental orbs that are challenging to destroy due to their high HP. Make sure to attack as many as possible before substituting your defensive team.
Regardless of whether you eliminate all orbs, Supernova will still be launched. Hence, use Dispel to negate the effects of Super Buff, and have Leo activate Blade Break for added damage mitigation. The higher the number of orbs left, the greater the damage it can inflict.
Once Jas plunges down to 50,000-60,000 HP, he’ll initiate Beginning of the End—a dire warning. You’ll have just five turns to eliminate him, or it’s an instant game over. The upside is that he’ll only use a single elemental attack on his turns during this time.
Quick All is crucial in this phase, along with applying Defense Down on Jas. Stick to your familiar Cheryl combo to finally take him down. Keep your cool and unleash your most potent skills: Fire Samidare, Radiance Strike, Rudy Strike, and more.
Above all, protect Cheryl—her demise would cost you precious turns to set her up again. Make use of her Tension skill if it’s available to amplify your damage output.
And with that, you will have fully defeated Jas. Enjoy the concluding interactive sequences and the final cutscenes of the game. Congratulations on your victory in Fantasian!
