While many quests may seem routine—like fetching items, taking down targets, or escorting characters—there are plenty of unique storylines that break away from the mold.
Take, for instance, a woman who believed the best way to be with her lover was to transform him into a pig. The reasoning behind this decision is a mystery, but now she needs your help to reverse her actions, as it’s clear she feels remorse.
How to Start the Happily Ever After Quest
Once you arrive in Cuanacht city, head south to the Lower City and find a woman typically near a pigsty.
This woman, named Rhian, will explain that a witch assisted her in turning her lover into a pig, but the one she’s looking at isn’t him. Instead, she needs your help to locate him.
Your only lead is to find the witch, who lives just north of your location, near the Abandoned Village.
Where to Find the Witch
Your search will take you throughout the Abandoned Village, where the witch can be found in a house just north of the village area.
Inside, you’ll encounter the witch directly, and in the room to your right, you’ll find the pig named Wilkin. Begin your conversation with the witch to uncover how this situation unfolded.
While you can chat with Wilkin, the pig will only respond with grunts. During your discussion with the witch, you’ll find multiple ways to conclude the quest.
How to Complete the Happily Ever After Quest
I’ll Just Kill You Choice
Your first option is clear: you can eliminate the witch. However, that won’t change Wilkin back, and he’ll remain a pig. After this, you can inform Rhian of your actions, which will wrap up the quest.
I Came Here on Behalf of Rhian Choice
Your second option involves informing the witch that you’re there on behalf of Rhian, who wishes to reverse the spell. Upon recognizing this, she’ll give you a bracelet to return to Rhian so they can supposedly live happily as pigs.
When you return to Rhian, you have the choice to either reveal the truth about both of them being pigs or deceive her into wearing the bracelet. Either choice will complete the quest.
How Am I Supposed to Talk to a Pig Choice
Your third option is to ask the witch how to communicate with the pig so you can hear Wilkin’s perspective. To do this, you must prepare a meal and present it to the witch.
Once you’ve done that, you can go back to Wilkin and engage in conversation. You’ll discover that he enjoys life as a pig and isn’t keen on returning to his former self.
When you speak to the witch again, you’ll have the choice to either leave Wilkin with her or explore one of the previous paths:
- If you decide to let Wilkin stay, the quest will automatically conclude.
- If you choose not to, you must select one of the two other options available.
