There’s a wide variety of satirical games available, as well as numerous sci-fi and survival-crafting options. When you mix elements of political satire with these genres, you get quite an interesting lineup of games. Among them, Revenge of the Savage Planet stands out by having a lot of fun with its unique concept.
This lighthearted game focuses on engaging gameplay wrapped in humor. For instance, you literally launch yourself to new planets using a cannon. The game keeps the adventure fresh by continually sending you to new horizons, but having clear objectives helps you progress even quicker.
Locating the Planetary Cannon Software
To blast off to new planets, you’ll first need to set up the Planetary Cannon at the NuFlorida habitat on Stellaris Prime. While the game points you in the right direction, you’ll be overwhelmed with missions, which can make it easy to lose track of your goal. Focus on the mission titled ‘That Has My Name On It‘ to obtain the necessary software swiftly.
Eventually, you’ll find a purple container that requires a bit of hacking from your trusty drone, Eko. You’ll face waves of enemies while staying within a designated area, but this isn’t too difficult. You can choose to evade the foes until the timer runs out before taking them out, which helps prevent any additional enemies from spawning.
Utilizing the Planetary Cannon
Once you have the Planetary Cannon Software, head back to the habitat to bring it down—no crafting needed. Just interact with the console outside your base to call it down from the sky, where it will land right in your habitat. This also unlocks your next destination: the dry planet Xephyr.
To embark on your journey to Xephyr, simply hop into the Planetary Cannon. You’ll experience a short scene before being launched toward the planet. That’s all there is to space travel here! Upon landing on Xephyr, you will receive a teleporter that allows for easy returns to the habitat whenever you want, without needing to use the cannon again.
This means you only need to use the Planetary Cannon once for each new planet. After unlocking a planet, you can use the cannon to travel there, but afterward, teleporters make moving between planets much simpler. So, after you’ve discovered all the planets, the Planetary Cannon becomes less essential.
