Revenge of the Savage Planet is a game that humorously explores the consequences of letting one corporation control all aspects of space travel. It also pokes fun at modern social behaviors, such as the obsession with taking photos, regardless of the situation.
Imagine losing your job but gaining access to entire planets to roam freely. Why not make the most of your time by capturing memories? Although Xephyr may appear to be just an expanse of sand and cacti, the right angles can transform even the driest landscape into a vibrant oasis. Here’s where you can snap a selfie.
What Are Selfies in Revenge of the Savage Planet?
Referring to them as selfies might suggest that Revenge of the Savage Planet has a photo mode where you can take pictures on your own. While the game does encourage discovering specific locations, you can’t take custom photos. Instead, selfies are marked locations on each planet, indicated by pedestals.
These are part of the D.I.A.P.E.R. program DLC and are essential for completing the Interstellar Geographic quest. Even though you’re not personally framing the shot, the game provides some stunning visuals for you.
Since the UI is disabled, you can also take screenshots of these scenic moments if you wish.
Every Selfie Location on Xephyr
There are 16 selfie locations in total, with three found on Xephyr. They are somewhat scattered, so here’s where to discover each one. To make things easier, use your Survey skill to highlight them if they’re within 100-200 meters. Keep in mind that these markers won’t remain on your map, but they will be helpful in the search.
Additionally, you can check your journal for hints about the location of each selfie spot and the overall count on each planet.
Selfie Location #1
The first selfie is located in the Cactus Valley, which is north of your entry point into Xephyr. Walk straight ahead until you reach some greenery. The Selfie Pedestal is positioned just south of the teleporter, easily visible.
Selfie Location #2
The second spot is at the Great Oasis, situated far to the east of Xephyr. Keep heading east until you encounter the large body of water; it’s one of the few. The Selfie Pedestal can be found in the southeast corner from the teleporter, providing a beautiful view of the planet behind you.
Selfie Location #3
The third selfie can be found in the G’nortt’s High Rise region, located south of the Cactus Valley. The Selfie Pedestal is nearly directly south of the first pedestal you discovered, nestled in the hills just northwest of the nearby teleporter.
With these locations, you should be able to find all Xephyr selfies. You can track your progress from the journal; selfies you’ve already captured will show in black-and-white, while those you haven’t taken will remain in color. Completing these selfies brings you closer to achieving your Interstellar Geographic mission.
Selfie Location #4
The last selfie location is in the Larval Roost, where you first encounter Wormzilla. This spot is situated on a hill to the west of the region, offering a panoramic view of the surrounding area.
