In Disney Dreamlight Valley, there’s a lot to explore, and every character plays an important role. From fellow gardeners who help gather crops to adventure-seekers, you can forge meaningful connections throughout your Valley.
While most villagers are young adults, some characters, like Alice, are more childlike. It’s easy for others in the village to forget that she’s still learning and growing. We’re here to help restore order after a misunderstanding upsets poor Alice.
How to Unlock the Fractured Glass Friendship Quest
To start this quest, you must reach friendship level seven with Alice. Additionally, ensure Olaf and Mother Gothel are available and that you have access to the Sunlit Plateau.
Once you’ve accomplished this, talk to Alice to find out what’s troubling her. Although she appears happy, there seems to be something deeper going on; she’s only feeling joy, lacking any other emotions.
Start your investigation by speaking with Scrooge McDuck, Mother Gothel, and Olaf. Then, head to Alice’s home to search for clues about her unusual mood.
Check near the sofa on the floor for a clue.
You’ll find a tiny Alice stuck in a teapot! When you chat with her, she seems downcast. You’ll need to lift her spirits if you want to learn more!
How to Cheer Up Sad Alice
Speak with Happy Alice to discover what could make the other Alice cheerful again. She suggests making a ton of ice cream, so head to a cooking station and whip up some flavors that Alice will enjoy. Here are the ice cream recipes:

Once you’ve got the ice cream, return to Alice’s house and place the ice cream next to the teapot. Give her a moment to enjoy it, then check back in with her.
While it hasn’t completely solved the issue, she’s now ready to discuss what happened. It turns out that Scrooge hurt her feelings in his shop, calling her silly. The kaleidoscope you discovered earlier split her into a happy side and a sad side.
It’s your job to help her reunite!
Head over to Scrooge’s shop to address the situation. Upon arrival, you’ll find that the Happy Alice has caused quite a mess with broken merchandise scattered all over. Clean it up and then tell Scrooge about what you’ve learned.
He is genuinely sorry and promises to talk to Alice about his outburst, noting that she is just a child and it’s okay to act silly sometimes. While he prepares his apology, you need to speak with Merlin about the kaleidoscope.
How to Reunite Happy Alice and Sad Alice
Merlin advises you to comfort Sad Alice and encourage both Alices to discuss what caused the split. This involves gathering Scrooge McDuck, Mother Gothel, and Olaf to talk about the events leading to her divided personality.
While they regroup at Alice’s house, it’s your responsibility to bring her flowers to cheer her up. You’ll need three blue flowers, four red flowers, and six yellow flowers.
Once you’ve collected the flowers, head into Alice’s house and listen as everyone tries to lift the Sad Alice’s spirits. Afterward, talk to Alice and present her with the bouquet you gathered.
Allow her a moment to reflect and let the two sides of Alice come back together. Finally, converse with Alice to finish the quest and earn some extra friendship points!
