In Mythwrecked: Ambrosia Island, you’ll encounter eight unique Greek gods who are lost and without their powers or memories. It’s up to Alex, who’s stuck on the island, to use her vacation to uncover secrets and help reunite these ancient beings.
There’s plenty of work ahead, and not every resident will trust you right away. Athena is a significant figure, and her tower is protected by guards. You can access it, but only if you show your worth. Here’s what you need to know to befriend Athena and help recover her memories in Mythwrecked: Ambrosia Island.
Unlocking Athena
To unlock Athena, you need to max out your friendship with Hermes. This will give you Hermes’ soulstone, which you can place in the Gaia Cavern.
Approaching the tower prematurely will result in the guards firing lasers at you!
Once you place the stone, Athena will message you about deactivating the guards on the bridge, allowing you to cross. Go ahead and enter her tower to start your conversation with Athena and begin helping her recover her memories.
Athena Friendship Level One
Your first meeting with Athena requires building trust. She will provide you with a special sapphire lens to interpret lore columns throughout the island. This lens works only on columns topped with a blue gem.
Check your map to see the lore columns marked with their corresponding colors!
Below are all the sapphire lore column locations, including their locations and the stories they unlock in your inventory:
Story Name |
Location |
---|---|
“Protector of Strangers” Myth |
Near the ladder on the southwestern beach, close to the ground entrance of Athena’s tower. |
“Helper of Heroes” Myth |
In the temple courtyard, head southeast to find this column in a corner. |
“Fit for a Queen” Myth |
Located inside Hephaestus’ workshop. |
“The Unloved God” Myth |
At the end of the ramp next to the plots in Ares’ Orchard. |
“Three Brothers” Myth |
Directly southeast of the portal hub outside the temple. |
After you translate each of the columns, return to Athena. The next step is collecting her specific mementos to help her remember her lost past.
Here’s a list of the mementos you need to gather and where to find them:
Memento Name |
Location |
---|---|
Cartography Tools |
At the western section of the temple, dig at the exposed corner to the right before reaching Aphrodite’s Gardens. |
Arithmetic Set |
From the Cloud Atrium, go down the ramp on the eastern side of the sun lounge. The memento is under the barrels. |
Apothecary Case |
On the southeastern beach, between the staircase and the lightning statue, you can uncover this memento. |
Bring everything back to Athena to reach friendship level one and restore some of her memories.
Athena Friendship Level Two
To advance to the next level with Athena, you need to use the opal lens to decipher all the yellow lore columns. Just like before, they’re marked on your map with a yellow gem above them.
Below are the opal lore column locations:
Story Name |
Location |
---|---|
“Contest of Gifts” Myth |
Right in front of your lighthouse, just before the stairs. |
“Love and War” Myth |
Near the entrance to Aphrodite’s Gardens from the temple. |
“Opposites Attract” Myth |
Within Aphrodite’s Gardens, next to the portal. |
“A Love Lost” Myth |
In the western section of the Gaia Cavern. |
“An Unlikely Friendship” Myth |
Inside Ares’ tent. |
After translating all the columns, it’s time to search for Athena’s lost memento. Fortunately, there’s only one to find this time! However, your radar cannot locate it.
Instead, acquire the Unopened Invitation by talking to Poseidon. You’ll need to trade 50 ambrosia fruit for it, then present this to Athena to reach friendship level two and get closer to maximizing your bond.
Athena Friendship Level Three
The final steps to maxing out your friendship with Athena are similar to the previous levels. You’ll need to use the ruby lens to translate the remaining red lore columns. Here’s where to find them:
Story Name |
Location |
---|---|
“Let the Games Begin” Myth |
On the southeastern beaches, up the ramp beyond the barrels. |
“Release the Cetus” Myth |
In Flotsam’s Harbor, to the right of Poseidon’s boat. |
“Brains Versus Brawn” Myth |
North of the Underworld entrance, opposite the wind turbine. |
“Queen’s Justice” Myth |
Within Zeus and Hera’s bedroom. |
“Leader of Souls” Myth |
In the Underworld, to the left of the ramp leading to Hades’ chambers. |
Following this, you’ll need to locate the final set of mementos for Athena. Here’s the information you need and where to find each:
Memento Name |
Location |
---|---|
Anchovy Paste |
Next to the Amazon statue that holds the Golden Bow. |
Forget-Me-Nots |
On the northeastern beach, in a bag next to the statue with the Golden Shield. |
Mandrake Root |
Underneath Cerberus’ paw in the Underworld. |
Once you deliver the last items to Athena, she’ll reward you with her soulstone as a token of gratitude! You can place this in the Gaia Cavern, moving you one step closer to unraveling the island’s mysteries.
