The new Zombies map, titled The Tomb, in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 features a range of Easter Eggs, including the coveted Gold Armor. This powerful gear enhances your survivability against relentless waves of zombies by allowing your armor to regenerate passively while you wear it. To obtain this Gold Armor, however, you’ll need to complete a series of tasks.
Before you embark on your quest for the Gold Armor, make sure to gather a solid selection of gear. You’ll need strong weapons and upgrades to tackle the challenges associated with acquiring the Gold Armor, particularly as the undead become increasingly formidable. Begin by securing some Mod Augments or Field Upgrades in CoD: Black Ops 6 Zombies, then set out to discover the necessary steps for obtaining the armor.
How to Start the Blood Rituals for the Gold Armor
Return the Heads of Statues to Their Proper Place
To earn the Gold Armor, you must complete two distinct Blood Rituals available on The Tomb map. First, you’ll need to unlock a secret area called The Dark Aether Nexus—a mysterious space that mirrors The Tomb. This area can be accessed after locating a special purple crystal that will teleport you and your squad to this ethereal realm.
Once you access the Dark Aether Nexus, go directly to where the Pack-A-Punch machine is located. The layout in the Dark Aether is similar to that of The Tomb, so you can orient yourself using familiar landmarks. The Pack-A-Punch in CoD: Black Ops 6 Zombies appears as a large red and white vending machine situated near the eastern edge of the Dark Aether.
Your next objective is to locate two wooden crates scattered throughout the Dark Aether. Breaking these two crates will yield the statue heads required to initiate both Blood Rituals. Below is a table detailing where to find each severed statue head:
Statue Part |
Location |
---|---|
Statue Head #1 |
In the wooden crate directly opposite the Jugger-Nog machine, located to the east of the buff dispenser on a small platform. |
Statue Head #2 |
Found near the southwest corner of the Dark Aether Nexus, inside a wooden crate adjacent to a small tree. This specific location is along the wall near the Ossuary Portal that connects back to The Tomb. |
After collecting both Statue Heads, return to The Tomb and head back to the starting Dig Site area. This is where you initially began this Zombies map introduced in CoD: Black Ops 6 during Season 2. The Dig Site has two headless statues that you can interact with. Placing either of the heads you have found onto one of the broken statues will instantly commence a Blood Ritual.
How to Successfully Complete Blood Rituals
Defeat New Threats Within the Red Mists
Completing Blood Rituals resembles Lockdowns you’ve experienced while seeking other Easter Eggs on The Tomb map. Upon placing a Statue Head back on its corresponding statue at the Dig Site, red mist will envelop the area, confining you as the Blood Ritual begins. Your mission is to defeat every enemy that spawns during the Blood Ritual to finish it and take steps towards obtaining the Gold Armor.
You can locate the first statue in the Dig Site to the southwest, near the PhD Flopper Perk. The second statue is positioned opposite the Dark Aether Nexus Portal to the east in the larger Mausoleum area.
Each statue summons its unique type of enemy zombies in CoD: Black Ops 6 during a Blood Ritual. One statue will conjure three Elite variants of the new Shock Mimic, a surprisingly fast adversary that can disguise itself as everyday objects, while the other statue brings forth Elite versions of the Doppelghast enemy type, which can be quite challenging to defeat without powerful weapons and gear.
The red mist surrounding you during the Blood Rituals hampers visibility, making it difficult to face foes. Therefore, remain agile during the Blood Rituals and focus on taking down one Elite enemy at a time to ultimately clear each statue’s challenge.
How to Obtain Gold Armor & How It Functions
Indefinitely Restore Your Armor
Defeating each Blood Ritual causes the two statues to project golden streams of light towards the Mausoleum, where you’ll spot two golden bull sculptures. As you approach the bulls, the beams of light will split and outline an armor vest on a nearby wall. From this newly revealed Wall Buy, you can acquire the Gold Armor at no cost and equip it to your Operator immediately.
The Gold Armor Vest gradually restores your armor over time, allowing you to passively enhance your defense against enemies. As long as you aren’t taking damage, you’ll be able to restore your armor to maximum capacity before engaging in tough battles. This piece of equipment is particularly beneficial for any wave of Zombies, as it eliminates the need to scavenge for armor while your supplies dwindle throughout the match.
When used alongside a powerful Wonder Weapon or other strong equipment, the Gold Armor becomes essential for pursuing additional Easter Eggs in The Tomb. You’ll want to obtain the Gold Armor in Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 quickly to tackle the tougher waves that will emerge as you delve deeper into the desolate crypt map.
