There are nine maps available for Battlefield 6 when it launches, including the return of Operation Firestorm from Battlefield 3. The remaining eight are all original, set in a wide range of environments—from the busy streets of Brooklyn in New York City to mountain valleys in Tajikistan. The developers also plan to add new maps after the game’s release.
In the beta version of Battlefield 6, four of these maps are playable. The beta offers a glimpse of intense infantry battles, limited vehicle options, and how “combat zones” allow each map to support different game modes. Below, I’ve listed all the maps and what you can expect from each one.
The beta is available now, and you can find out how to get access even if you’re not already playing.
All Battlefield 6 Multiplayer Maps at Launch
- Siege of Cairo (playable in beta)
- Iberian Offensive (playable in beta)
- Liberation Peak (playable in beta)
- Empire State (playable in beta)
- Manhattan Bridge
- Saints Quarter
- New Sobek City
- Mirak Valley
- Operation Firestorm
All maps are divided into “combat zones,” which are smaller sections of the broader map designed for various game modes. For example, Liberation Peak is a large map playable in different modes: a full version called Ridge 13 for Conquest, a slightly smaller version called Medevac Mile for Breakthrough, and even an even tinier version called Iron Pass for infantry-only Domination mode. The map you play on may also influence which class you choose.
Here are some details about each map, including the types of vehicles you might encounter in larger game modes:
Siege of Cairo
Features a mix of small buildings, narrow alleys, big open streets, and courtyards where objectives are set. You’ll find infantry and vehicles like infantry fighting vehicles and tanks.
Iberian Offensive
Set in a crowded neighborhood in Gibraltar with winding streets, destructible buildings, and varying elevations. It’s perfect for close-quarters combat. Vehicles include light transports and infantry fighting vehicles.
Liberation Peak
Built on a mountain hillside dotted with military installations and small settlements. Lots of open space makes aerial combat important. It supports jets, helicopters, tanks, infantry, and anti-air units.
Empire State
An urban, vertical map in Brooklyn with tall buildings and tight spaces, where fights often happen above or below. Vehicles are not involved here—it’s mainly infantry-only.
Manhattan Bridge
Fights mainly occur underneath the Manhattan Bridge and within nearby Brooklyn streets, emphasizing close-quarters combat. Attack helicopters are confirmed to be present.
Saints Quarter
Set in Gibraltar’s Old Town, this map centers around a fountain courtyard and many destructible homes, making for intense close-range battles. It’s infantry-only.
New Sobek City
On Cairo’s outskirts, this map has sandy terrain and construction zones that support ground and air vehicles like tanks and attack helicopters.
Mirak Valley
The biggest map at launch, featuring ruined villages and trench warfare high in the mountains. It supports a wide array of vehicles, including light transports, infantry fighting vehicles, tanks, anti-air units, attack helicopters, and jets.
Operation Firestorm
Returns from Battlefield 3, set in a huge burning oil refinery with industrial buildings and open terrain ideal for combined arms combat, including tanks, attack helicopters, and jets.
Looking ahead, EA has confirmed more maps will be added after launch. While details are still under wraps, they’ve also mentioned that the Battlefield Portal and game creator features will let players modify and customize maps, making for ongoing community-driven content.
