Mumbai: The iconic punk rock ensemble Green Day, famous for hits like ‘American Idiot’, ‘Boulevard of Broken Dreams’, and ‘Good Riddance (Time Of Your Life)’, is slated to perform at the forthcoming edition of the multi-genre festival Lollapalooza India in Mumbai, scheduled for March next year.
Joining them will be the Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter Shawn Mendes, who will also take the stage during the festival on March 8 and March 9 in Mumbai.
Former One Direction member Louis Tomlinson will grace the event with his much-anticipated debut in India, while the popular Glass Animals, renowned for their chart-topping single ‘Heat Waves’, will captivate the audience with their unique sound. The electronic dance music segment of the festival will be headlined by Zedd and John Summit, guaranteed to leave fans enthralled.
Hip-hop enthusiasts can look forward to performances by Big Boi, one-half of the legendary duo Outkast, along with India’s emerging rap sensation Hanumankind, whose recent hit ‘Big Dawgs’ has taken the internet by storm.
Indian artists featured in the lineup include Raftaar x Kr$na, Dot., the respected sitar virtuoso Niladri Kumar, Lisa Mishra, Raman Negi, and Dhanji.
The diverse lineup will also showcase the funky and jazzy sounds of American guitarist Cory Wong, the ethereal melodies of Aurora, and the high-energy rhythms from Brazilian electronic music star Alok, promising something for every music lover.
Lollapalooza India 2025 will also highlight innovative and emerging talents such as Sahil Vasudeva, Anushka, and the indie favorites LULLANAS.
This year, the festival introduces a new ticketing option, Lolla Comfort by RuPay, alongside a premium offering called Lolla Platinum.
