The map for GTA 6 won’t be officially available until the game launches in November 2026, but we’ve already learned a lot about it. Early on, dedicated fans pieced together details from screenshots and trailers, cross-referencing them with official announcements and the geography of Florida to create detailed maps of the Leonida area.
Recently, leaked images claiming to show gameplay and the full Leonida map have surfaced. However, I haven’t included any of that info here, as Rockstar has been issuing DMCA takedown notices for sharing those leaks online. We do know that GTA 6’s map is about three times larger than Red Dead Redemption 2’s, promising a huge world to explore with plenty of new places to discover in Vice City.
Below, after the spoiler warning, you can see the most recent community-made version of the GTA 6 map. Be sure to enlarge the image for a closer look—certain areas are packed with details. While Vice City seems to be more populated based on the trailers so far, other parts of the map are still somewhat empty, which likely means there are still hidden places to be revealed in the future.
You can also explore interactive versions of the GTA 6 map at sites like State of Leonida and gta6map.io. These tools let you explore at your own pace, and since GTA 6 is still a few years away, fans are working hard to fill in as many details as possible before launch.
Meanwhile, check out the video above from the GTA 6 mapping community. It provides an in-depth tour of the speculative map, overlaid with official images to give a better idea of what to expect. This video was created using free, open-source software called gtamaplib-vc, which anyone can use—but keep in mind, downloading and using it is at your own risk.
