On May 8th, numerous users took to social media to report issues with DeepSeek’s services, noting that the platform’s chat page displayed a message stating, “Server busy, please try again later.” The official service status website confirmed that both the web interface and API services for DeepSeek were currently unavailable.
Later in the afternoon, the company updated its status page, indicating that the cause of the outage had been identified and that they were actively working on repairs. This disruption marked the second significant service interruption within just over a month.
The previous major outage occurred around 10 PM on March 29th, when users experienced widespread access issues. During that period, both the web and app versions frequently displayed “Server busy” or network error messages. Core functions such as chatting and content generation were nearly paralyzed, with many users reporting failed logins and interrupted conversations.
That incident lasted for over 12 hours. The company’s technical team worked through multiple repair cycles and ongoing monitoring efforts, ultimately restoring full service by midday on March 30th. At the time, officials did not disclose specific details about the underlying cause of that outage.
The recurring nature of these outages raises concerns among users about the platform’s stability and reliability, especially given the short interval between the disruptions. As of now, further details about the current issues are pending, but the company has assured users that they are working diligently to resolve the problems as quickly as possible.
